In-vitro Fertilization

It has come to my attention that there is a big problem with in-vitro Fertalization. Take a look at what this is:

"Their goal is to impregnate women who otherwise would not be able to have a child. The procedure involves:

Giving special medication to the woman that results in the development, growth, and maturation of eggs in a woman's ovaries.
Extracting perhaps 24 mature mature ova (aka oocytes) from the woman's ovaries.
Fertilizing the ova with sperm, typically from her husband or an anonymous donor.
Placing the embryos in a special incubator which encourages their growth.
Selecting two to four healthy-looking embryos and implanting them in the woman's uterus.
Disposing of the remaining 20 or so surplus embryos in some manner."

This is wrong! God is frowning upon this site! everytime people do this they are killing 20 Humans! This is 20 kids that will never walk thier first step, 20 kids that will never be able to have a family, 20 kids that will never be able to experience life! This is playing god! As Herman b. Hayes, from Conservatives from American Values said, "We must keep every embryo ever taken from the ovaries in perfect live condition until the Good Holy Oh God Jesus returns, or else we are all guilty of mass murder."

Maybe Pro Life people are ignoring the problem? In my eyes, and in gods eyes, this is a lot worse than abortion. Although Im pretty sure that the people can be unanimously decided together on this. The problem is a lot of people still support abortion. We need to rid the world of this evil, I believe we can do it if we unify the church.

Death is natural. You think of a god, I think of nature, but either way, death is very common and natural.

Frankly I am against IVF not because it kills 20 small cell masses (not human or able to know they are alive in any way) but because we have enough people as it is.

People die every day, there are too many kids being made. I think people who want a kid but physically cant, should adopt.

Personally, I think each person should be limited to one child credit. If they want more than one child per person (so two for a couple) they need to adopt, or buy a child credit from another person who is not going to have one. This is the only way we can keep our exploding population from ruining our planet.

And it may already be too late.

This is one of the reasons that my wife and I are looking into adopting instead of having children of our own. There are a lot of kids in the world already that have no one to care for them.

As far as IVF goes - it is basically the opposite of abortion and I agree that it is a way of "playing God" in the sense that we are almost forcing something to happen that God perhaps did not intend. On the other hand I also believe that God can redeem absolutely anything and use it for his glory.

After all - it isn't like we can pull the wool over God's eyes. He allows us to make mistakes not because we are able to fool him into looking the other way but because he has left the choice up to us. It is encouraging to know that God is always there to help us pick up the pieces as well.

You think of in vitro fertilization as death, I see it as murder.

You make a good point about this type of child murder maybe being worse than abortion. What it does is buff our conscience to yet the next type of state sponsored murder. Killing of the sick and mentally ill, unwanted persons, people useful to the state for science experiments; any of these things could be the next on Americas slipping ethics code. Just think about it, who would have thought in 1970’s that there would be ‘gay’ marriage in Mass. in 2004.

You write well for a 15 year old! Maybe when you are older you will understand that to have a physician assist a family that is otherwise infertile have a child is a blessing. It is a warped individual who believes that invitro fertilization is immoral. Maybe someday you will have the blessings of a child that your parents have enjoyed. And you will understand the pain that childless couples experience; and you will be mature enough and have enough perspective to realize the insensitivity of your poorly chosen words!

You arrogant little snot. How dare you presume to know God's opinion on something the Bible doesn't cover?

first of all, I pray. I have a relationship with god and I have been blessed with his wisdom. He and I know that unnatural ways of creating children, like in vitro fertilization, is wrong. Especially when your disposing of the 10 - 15 other fetuses.

Why is that we are more willing or that the fundamentalists and conservatives are more willing to focus on abortion, same sex marriage, in-vitro fertilization, than the deaths that occur in local cities due to drug overdoses, starvation. Or here's a news flash did you know that thousands of people in Bolivia go with out WATER because it is privatized? They can't even collect rain water because it belongs to a private company. People are dying without water with out food around the world but we focus on these issues that affect so many fewer people. And in response to this thing that the 20 remaining eggs are disposed of, that is crap, where did you get your information from if you don't mind me asking. In most scenarios 3 eggs are harvested and fertilized and all 3 eggs are emplanted in the uterus. They don't just use one because the chances of it actually working are very slim. Next time put the source of your information, it would make you look a bit more credible if at all.

ooo i was just wondering, if you see these 20 eggs as children that will never walk the earth, are women to blame for the eggs our bodies naturally eliminate during menstration??

No, because its a natural way of disposal. God meant for that to happen. He did not mean for those 20 eggs to.
