Have you done historical research about this clip? The movie it was taken from was released in 1940. In the years leading up to that, FDR was president, and although his "New Deal" (thank you, American History II) didn't show immediate success, we have him to thank for a lot of lasting success. Because of his presidency and many programs he set up, the government was controlled mainly by democrats until the 60s. Also, because of those programs, awareness was spread about civil rights that eventually led to the first Civil Rights Act.

Now to respond to that as far as how it applies in 2005, I completely disagree. I can form my own, legitimate arguements, while you simply repeat arguments heard from others and continue to use them over and over. I am an active participant in government at both the city and state level, and still extremely proud to be a Democrat. Especially now that we have little control in the government, I don't know a single Democrat that isn't aware of the current events. Not only that, but I certainly don't know any that accuse others of being unAmerican, tell people they're damned to hell, or use fake, repeated arguments.

"fake, repeated arguments."

here here. There's too much of those on the site to warrant me respecting any arguments presented.

Alisoni balloni: Jeez, calm down, I thought it was funny. I mean it is true, in a way. I think that there are more propagandists on your side than mine, but hey, thats just my opinion.

Just becasue you think it's funny doesn't mean that everyone else agrees. I do not think it is true, because the government has taught people to blindly accept what they say. Just because GWB is the president does not mean that he is always right or always tells the truth, or should even always be supported. We are lucky enough to live in a time that allows us to disagree and protest, and liberals are exercising that right and speaking out against what they feel is wrong. That is not propoganda, that is questioning that leads to truth.

Thanks, bushcheney08, for your kind comment about my blog. While I can tell our politics are different, I do agree with some things you write and look forward to reading your blog in the future.

Please explain why it's hilarious, as my points on this argument have been much more valuable than yours.

Which one, the movie clip or your speech? The movie's hilarious, I think we both know that, but there was just something about questioning authority that made me laugh. AARRRGH! REBELLION! FIGHTING! KNOWLEDGE! I mean which word felt out of place there?
